and there is a majestic building in which its often mysterious history lives: Palacio de Villachica. <\/pee><\/div>\n

The building was being built in the year 1,800 when the family acquired it. The last member to take charge of it was Luis Villachica, father of Victoriana Villachica. Victoriana is one of the great inspirations of our brand, known in the area as the “Marchioness of Villachica” could well be the protagonist of a novel. <\/pee><\/div>\n

Daughter of Luis Villachica and a maid of the Palace, Victoriana was estranged from Toro after birth and until she returned at the age of twenty-three. She returned to the Dehesa Toresana as the daughter of Marta, the servant, without being recognized by her father. It would not be until a decade later when Luis Villachica signed the document of recognition of his natural daughter. In 1920 he died and Victoriana became a wealthy woman. This power came into his life at the age of fifty and his customs changed very little. <\/pee> The elders of the area remembered her as an introverted woman, dressed in black and semi-secluded in the Palace. To escape the curious looks he used his horse carriage as the only means of transport. <\/pee> All her “oddities” were reflected in his will, where he imposes the rules to be met in the exploitation of the multiple buildings and residences he owned. He arranged, for example, that Toro’s residence be used as a seminary to train future priests. The character, determination and firmness of a woman who always struggled to develop according to her own criteria are, today, an inspiration for our way of pursuing our business purposes. <\/pee><\/div>\n

born from the union of three Spanish wineries based in the Denominations of Origin Toro, Ribera del Duero and Rioja. <\/pee> The historic building of Toro is the place where we decide to locate the public entity. The history of its last inhabitant, the uniqueness of the building and its location in one of the Denominations of Origin of the Group make the Villachica Palace the perfect emblem and place. <\/pee> <\/p>\n
